Kami K. Murphy

Kami attended Missouri Western State University and received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with an emphasis on Legal Studies, Corrections and Juvenile Justice. She also received her Paralegal Certificate. While attending college classes she worked at the Western Reception Diagnostic Correctional Center as an administrative assistant in one of the housing units. She began working as an investigator with the Missouri State Public Defender shortly before graduating in 2018. While working as an investigator she had the opportunity to assist attorneys in court, sat second chair during jury selection and trials. She became proficient in drafting motions, reviewing discovery and researching state statutes and case law. She left the Missouri Public Defender’s office in December 2023 as an investigator III. She joined The Ritchie Law Group as a paralegal shortly afterward and is looking forward to continuing to assist clients in their family law cases.
